El siguiente es un ejercicio resuelto. Antes de ver las respuestas, intenta resolverlo por tu cuenta
usando la información del material de desarrollo.

Como puedes apreciar, cada vez que preguntamos la edad de una persona utilizamos la palabra
interrogativa ‘How old’ y cada vez que preguntamos ‘Quién’, ‘Who’.

The family tree helps you identify family members and their relationships.

Possessive ‘s has rules according to the singular or plural noun.

Ask ‘Who’ and ‘How old’ for different information.

2 PLURAL FORM / FORMA PLURAL

Como sabemos, en inglés hay diferentes maneras de formar el plural. Además de las que ya
conocemos en este módulo 5, las más comunes son las siguientes:

Añadimos ‘-s’ a los sustantivos
para formar el plural.

Por ejemplo:
Lipstick - Lipsticks
Marker - Markers
Wallet - Wallets 02
Paper clip - Paper clips Cuando el sustantivo termina
en ‘-y’ y está precedido por una
vocal, también añadimos ‘-s’.

Boy - Boys
Day - Days

Para aquellos sustantivos que
terminan en ‘-o’, agregamos
‘-es’ en su forma plural.

For example:
Tomato - Tomatoes
Potato - Potatoes
Hero - Heroes

Existen sustantivos cuyo plural
consiste en la variación de la
estructura original.

Ese es el caso de:

El siguiente cuadro resumen te ayudará a comprender mejor el uso de los adjetivos demostrativos
en inglés:

Intenta resolver los siguientes ejercicios completando con “that, this, these, those”. Luego,
comprueba tus respuestas en la parte inferior:

Always check vocabulary to improve your English level.

In English, we use different ways for the plural of nouns.

In this unit, we use these, those, this, that to talk about objects far or near in singular or
plural.

2 QUESTIONS WITH WHOSE / PREGUNTAS CON ¿DE QUIÉN…?

Ahora que conoces los pronombres posesivos, veamos cómo se formulan preguntas para
descubrir a quién o quiénes pertenecen ciertos objetos personales o prendas de vestir.

It’s mine.
Whose jacket
is this?

Whose hat It’s yours.

is that? It’s his.

3 CONCLUSIONS / CONCLUSIONES

En inglés, las oraciones tienen diferentes partes: sujeto, verbo y complemento. Se usa el
verbo ‘wear’ cuando se trata de la ropa que una persona usa.

‘Whose’ sirve para preguntas sobre objetos en singular o en plural, que se responden con
‘It’s’ o con ‘They’re’, respectivamente.
