Simple past

El tiempo pasado simple o simple


past de un verbo se puede
estructurar en forma afirmativa,
forma negativa o forma de
interrogación. En la forma
afirmativa, el verbo, cuando es
regular se le agrega la terminación -
ed. Para la forma negativa, el verbo
permanece en infinitivo, es decir, sin
agregar la terminación -ed.
Ejemplos Afirmativa
I went to the grocery store
yesterday.
She studied Spanish for three years
in college.
They played soccer in the park last
weekend.
He bought a new car last month.
Negativa
You didn’t work very hard last week.
She didn’t live in Japan last year.
They didn’t learn how to swim two
years ago.
She didn’t like to sit in the sun.
Interrogativa
Did I fail this exam?
Didn’t they tell you?
When did you break your finger?
Did she watch the film yesterday?

complemento
Negativa She didn’t finish her degree
= Ella no terminó su carrera
Interrogativa Did + sujeto + verbo
en forma básica + complemento
