Supplies
• Worsted weight yarn - I used Bernat Super Value
1 skein white
Small amount each of black, red, and pumpkin

• Size I, F, E & B Hooks

• Sewing thread
White & black

• Size 5 thread
Small amount of red

• Tapestry & sewing needle

• Polyfill

Notes
Gauge is not important for this project. For best results, crochet
the head as tightly as possible.

The head, eyes & nose are worked in continuous rounds. Do not
join at the end of the rounds! I recommend using a stitch
marker, and moving it up as you go.

Blanket

Using "I" hook & white yarn, make a Magic Ring - Leave a tail long
enough to attach head later on

Rnd 1 - Ch 2, 12 DC in MR, join in the top of the first DC (12)

Rnd 2 - Ch 2, 2 DC in each st around, join in the top of the first


DC (24)

Rnd 3 - Ch 3 (counts as DC), *sk next st, (DC, ch 2, DC) in next


st, repeat from * 10 more times, DC in beginning st, ch 2, join in
top of beginning ch 3

Rnd 4 - Sl st in next DC, sl st in ch 2 sp, ch 3, (DC, ch 2, 2 DC) in


ch 2 sp, *(2 DC, ch 2, 2 DC) in next ch 2 sp, repeat from * around,
join in the top of ch 3

Rnd 5 - Sl st in next DC, ch 3 *(2 DC, ch 2, 2 DC) in next ch 2 sp,


DC in next st, sk next 2 sts, DC in next st, repeat from * 10 more

Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Nose

Using "E" hook & pumpkin yarn, make a Magic Ring. Work in
continuous rounds.

Rnd 1 - Ch 1, 6 SC in MR (6)

Rnd 2 - 2 SC in each st around (12)

Rnd 3-5 - SC around (12)

Rnd 6 - Inv SC DEC around (6)

Fasten off. Use yarn end to sew nose closed. Weave in end.

Collar - Optional

Using "B" hook & red size 5 thread, ch 4

Row 1 - SC in 2nd ch from hook, SC in next 2 chs

Row 2 - Ch 1, turn, SC across (3)

Continue until collar measures approximately 4"

Fasten off, leaving a long enough tail for sewing collar on.

Assembly

• Sew head securely to the center of the blanket using tail of


yarn on blanket beginning.

• Sew collar ends together around neck using tail of yarn.

• Position eyes on head & pin in place. Using sewing needle &
black thread, sew eyes on securely.

• Sew nose securely to tip of muzzle with sewing needle &


white thread.

• Position ears on the back of the head & pin in place. Sew
securely using tails of yarn.
