 Resumen
La inseminación artificial (I.A) es una técnica que consiste en la introducción del
semen en el aparato reproductor de la hembra sin intervención del toro, esta es
asistida por el hombre. La inseminación artificial a su vez es un método de
conservación del semen de machos de alto valor genético, ofrece excelentes
posibilidades para el incremento de la producción de carne y leche, ya que es la
tecnología reproductiva más sencilla, esté puede ser de gran ayuda en caso de
animales de avanzada edad o de gran peso para vaquillas. Con un buen manejo y
conservación del semen puede ser transportado y guardado a lo largo tiempo
hablando de meses incluso de varios años, también podemos hablar de cruza de
razas o exportar de otro país el semen.

Además la IA es una técnica de fácil empleo para personal capacitado

adecuadamente para la detección del celo y una buena técnica se obtienen
buenos resultados de preñez, aunque si no conocemos bien sobre detección
representa una gran desventaja

La técnica de inseminación artificial se divide en tres partes: la primera consiste en

las técnicas para la identificación de la vaca en estro; la segunda se refiere al
manejo del semen, e incluye el manejo del termo, la técnica de descongelación y
el armado de la pistola de inseminación; y la última parte comprende los
procedimientos para la introducción del semen en el útero.

Abstract
Artificial insemination (A.I.) is a technique that consists of the introduction of
semen into the reproductive system of the female without the intervention of the
bull, this is assisted by the man. Artificial insemination, in turn, is a method of
conserving the semen of males of high genetic value, it offers excellent
possibilities for increasing meat and milk production, since it is the simplest
reproductive technology, this can be of great help in case of elderly or heavy
animals for heifers With good management and conservation of semen, it can
be transported and stored for a long time, speaking of months, even several
years, we can also speak of crossbreeding or exporting semen from another
country.

In addition, AI is an easy-to-use technique for properly trained personnel for

heat detection and a good technique gives good pregnancy results, although if
we do not know well about detection it represents a great disadvantage.

The artificial insemination technique is divided into three parts: the first consists
of the techniques for identifying the cow in estrus; the second refers to the
handling of the semen, and includes the handling of the thermos, the thawing
technique and the assembly of the insemination gun; and the last part includes
the procedures for the introduction of semen into the uterus.
