The town of Usme has an ancestral past that allows us to understand its social, cultural, political and economic organization with which this territory has been developing as a town in Bogotá over the years. Knowing the ancestral traditions and being able to signify them gives the ability to understand where it comes from, value them to preserve and spread them, and understand how these have been replaced by the new technologies that the globalized world has imposed. Infinity of customs, food, words, idioms that are currently used, originate from our ancestral cultures, are in us because they are part of our roots; however they are ignored or undervalued and are believed to have been acquired from other places or people. Our territory speaks to us, when places such as: Neusa, Iguaque, or everyday words such as changua or curuba are used, there is no awareness that comes from our ancestors: The Muiscas. The objective of this research was to create spaces for participation in the children and youth of the town of Usme, involving them with their ancestors, seeking to resignify their territory and history through the Muisca stories, in order to appropriate, conserve and transmit them. The Usme House of Culture is part of the local cultural management points that seek to strengthen the artistic, cultural, heritage and sports practices of the agents and organizations of this important territory of the city.
