- El 23 de abril de 1946, Piaggio (fundada en 1884) presenta una patente para una
"motocicleta con un complejo racional de piezas y elementos con un bastidor combinado con
guardabarros y capó que cubre toda la parte mecánica". Así nació la Vespa. El scooter se
fabricó en la planta de Pontedera (Toscana).
- On April 23, 1946, Piaggio (founded in 1884) files a patent for a "motorcycle with a rational complex
of parts and elements with a car chassis combined with mudguards and a hood covering the entire
mechanical part." Thus the Vespa was born. The scooter was manufactured at the plant in
Pontedera (Tuscany).

- 1953. La Vespa 125 fue inmortalizada en la película “Vacaciones en Roma” de William

Wyler con Gregory Peck y Audrey Hepburn.
