RESUMEN

En este trabajo se presenta el diseño y construcción de un prototipo de una Maquina de

Wimshurst y explica los principales componentes de la máquina y los principios físicos de
su funcionamiento. Esto con el fin de analizar en si lo que es la electrostática y poder
entender también la importancia que genera en la sociedad. Por lo tanto, se empleará un
prototipo el cual se utilizará para dos enfoques. El primer enfoque tiene como objetivo
permitir que los estudiantes realicen ejercicios experimentales a nivel de descargas
controladas y péndulos electrostáticos. El segundo enfoque es obtener los resultados
cualitativos en el laboratorio al nivel potencial y en el campo. Una vez obtenidos estos
resultados se podrá saber si generan un aumento el cual se pueda encontrar en el rango de
incremento medio. En este trabajo también se describe los métodos y equipos utilizados
durante la recopilación de datos. Asimismo, este proyecto presenta y discute las fortalezas
de las estrategias utilizadas.

 ABSTRACT
This paper presents the design and construction of a prototype of a Wimshurst Machine and
explains the main components of the machine and the physical principles of its operation.
This in order to analyze what electrostatics is and also understand the importance it
generates in society. Therefore, a prototype will be used which will be used for two
approaches. The first approach aims to allow students to perform experimental exercises at
the level of controlled discharges and electrostatic pendulums. The second approach is to
obtain the qualitative results in the laboratory at the potential level and in the field. Once
these results have been obtained, it will be possible to know if they generate an increase
which can be found in the average increase range. This paper also describes the methods
and equipment used during data collection. Likewise, this project presents and discusses the
strengths of the strategies used.
