LA CULTRA CHAVÍN

La cultura Chavín es considerado Primer Horizonte cultural, porque difundió sus patrones culturales
a lo largo de todos los Andes peruanes (panandino).

DESCUBRIDOR

El descubridor de la Cultura Chavín fue Julio Cesar Tello en 1907 en la Provincia de Huari-Ancash.

UBICACIÓN

La cultura Chavín se ubica en el callejón de Conchucos, provincia de Huari, departamento de Ancash,

entre los ríos Moshna y Huachecsa.

ARQUITECTURA

Su centro pólitico fue Chavín de Huantar, desde donde se controlaban otros centros ceremoniales.
Destacan el Templo Viejo o Templo del Lanzón y el Templo Nuevo donde se encontraba el Pórtico
de las Falconidas.

LITOESCULTURA

Trabajaron la piedra de manera magistral, influenciado por la Cultura Sechin. Esta manifestación
artística surgió del interés de controlar a la población con dioses terroríficos. Ejemplo de esto
tenemos: El lanzón de chavín, el obelisco Tello, la estela raymondi y las cabezas clavas,

CERÁMICA

La cerámica Chavín fue de forma globular, monocromo porque usaban color gris o negro, decoración
incisa y con asa gollete o estibo.
 THE CHAVIN CULTURE
The Chavín culture is considered the First Cultural Horizon, because
it spread its cultural patterns throughout the entire Peruvian Andes
(Pan-Andean).

DISCOVERER

The discoverer of the Chavín Culture was Julio Cesar Tello in 1907 in
the Province of Huari-Ancash.

LOCATION
The Chavín culture is located in the Conchucos alley, Huari province,
Ancash department, between the Moshna and Huachecsa rivers.

ARCHITECTURE
Its political center was Chavín de Huantar, from where other
ceremonial centers were controlled. The Old Temple or Temple of the
Lanzón and the New Temple stand out, where the Portico of the
Falconidas was located.

LITHOSCULPTURE

They worked the stone masterfully, influenced by the Sechin Culture.

This artistic manifestation arose from the interest of controlling the
population with terrifying gods. An example of this we have: The
chavín sandeel, the Tello obelisk, the raymondi stele and the nail
heads,

CERAMICS
Chavín pottery was globular in shape, monochrome because they
used gray or black, incised decoration and with a neck or stowage
handle.
