El sensor de detonación o golpeteo (KS) es una pieza de material piezoeléctrico montado

en un armazón de metal y se ubica en la parte baja del pleno de admisión reportando el
nivel de cascabeleo del motor. El sensor KS generalmente tiene un conector de 1 a 2
cables, Sirve para detectar la explosión o detonación que existe en la cámara de
combustión, enviando una señal a la computadora para ajustar el tiempo de encendido.
