Lukasz Sebastián Gottwald, más conocido como Dr. Luke, es un

músico, cantautor estadounidense de ascendencia polaca, conocido por

escribir canciones principalmente pop rock y por indagar de manera ocasional

en tabúes en sus letras. Es considerado como uno de los letristas y

productores de la música pop más exitosos de los últimos años. 1

Gottwald ha trabajado con artistas como Kesha, Avril Lavigne, Miranda

Cosgrove, P!nk, Backstreet Boys, The Veronicas, Katy Perry, Lady

Sovereign, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Jessie J, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Becky

G, Sugababes, Kelly Clarkson, Doja Cat, entre otros.

El 14 de octubre de 2014 se anunció que la artista Kesha había demandado a

Gottwald por agresión sexual, acoso sexual, violencia de género, abuso

emocional, y violación de las prácticas de negocios de California a lo largo de

su relación de trabajo que se alargó una década. Gottwald respondió

presentando una contrademanda alegando que todo el asunto era un intento de

la actriz, su madre y sus nuevos representantes de extorsionarle para liberarla

del contrato que mantenían.

En 2016 una corte de Nueva York desestimó las acusaciones de Kesha por el

presunto abuso sexual por haber prescrito, sin determinar si las acusaciones

tenían mérito. Kesha perdió otro frente cuando otro juez dijo que hizo una

declaración difamatoria sobre Luke en un mensaje de texto de 2016 en el que

le decía a Lady Gaga que el productor también había violado a Katy Perry.

Tanto Luke como Perry lo negaron, determinando la justicia que no existía

"ningún tipo de evidencia" que sustentara tal acusación. 45
