Call for Papers
International Conference
First call
Besides the importance of the aforementioned work within Hegel’s oeuvre, it has
undoubtedly been one of the most influential books in contemporary practical
philosophy inasmuch as it took a decisive role in the works of thinkers as dissimilar
as Karl Marx, Søren Kierkegaard, Carl Schmitt, Hannah Arendt, José Ortega y
Gasset, Xavier Zubiri, Alexandre Kòjeve, Emmanuel Lévinas, Michel Henry, Jürgen
Habermas, Charles Taylor, Axel Honneth and Robert Brandom.
The Conference will host personal presentations. Proposals are invited for
individual papers or symposia in the following topics:
- The role of the book within the development of the author’s thought.
- The contrast of Hegel’s work with other modern authors, such as Kant, Rousseau,
and Hobbes.
The Scientific Committee will select the presentations and symposia for the sessions
according to the quality, originality and adequacy of the abstracts concerning the
goals of the Conference.
