un canino
Pedicled conjunctival flap as a resolution of a traumatic eye perforation in a dog
Abstract
A 45-day-old poodle dog presented corneal perforation and exposure of lenticular content due to
interspecies trauma. The patient was outlined for surgical treatment, which consisted of the
extraction of the exposed lenticular content, the reconstruction of the anterior chamber and the
performance of a pedicled conjunctival flap technique. In the postsurgical controls, a positive
evolution of the patient was evidenced, confirming the success of the procedure.
