PROTECCIÓN DE MENORES

Desde el British Council reconocemos que el cuidado y bienestar de los niños y niñas es
fundamental y que todos tienen derecho a ser protegidos de manera equitativa de cualquier tipo
de abuso o maltrato. Creemos que una buena protección de la infancia requiere que todos
asuman responsabilidades.

El British Council tiene un deber de cuidado hacia los niños con los que trabajamos incluyendo la
obligación de protegerlos del abuso. Lo logramos mediante el cumplimiento de las leyes del Reino
Unido en materia de protección de la infancia así como las leyes de cada uno de los países en los
que trabajamos y nuestra adhesión a la Convención Internacional de los Derechos del Niño (CRC
1989). El British Council considera un niño a toda persona que no ha alcanzado los 18 años de
edad (CRC 1989)

Si usted recibe este horario como padre, madre o tutor legar de un menor deberá saber que:

• Los candidatos menores de 11 años no podrán abandonar las instalaciones del examen a
la finalización del mismo sin la presencia de su padre, madre o tutor.

• Los candidatos de entre 11 y 17 años podrán abandonar las instalaciones del examen a la
finalización del mismo aportando la autorización adjunta en el link

CHILD PROTECTION

The British Council creates international opportunities for the people of the UK and other countries
and builds trust between them worldwide. We believe child protection requires everyone to take
responsibility. We recognise that the care and welfare of children is paramount and that all children
have the right to protection from all types of harm.

The British Council recognises that we have a fundamental duty of care towards all children we
engage with, including a duty to protect them from abuse. We achieve this through compliance with
UK child protection laws and relevant laws in each of the countries we operate in, as well as by
adherence to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) 1989. A child is
defined in the British Council as anyone who has not reached their 18th birthday (UNCRC 1989)
irrespective of the age of majority in the country where a child is, or their home country.

If you -as a parent or legal guardian- receive this email, you should know that:
• Candidates under the age of 11 will not be allowed to leave the exam premises at the end
of the examination without parents or legal guardians being present at the exam venue.
• Candidates between 11 and 17 years of age will be allowed to leave the premises, without
their legal guardians present, at the end of the examination providing they bring a signed
copy of the Minor Consent Form
