Resumen
Abstract
The studies of the planktonic communities have made it possible to determine their
importance at a biological level within the ecosystems. The work determined the presence of
Cladóceros in different freshwater ecosystems in the department of Boyacá, both natural and
artificial. Some effects that caused the decline of species in ecosystems were alterations in
pH. Examine which natural and man-made habitats are the greatest source of diversity. For
them we take as reference studies in the waters of Boyacá as well as population studies of
different species of crustaceans, especially cladocerans. Our results showed that natural
ecosystems such as Lake Tota had a greater abundance of cladocerans, with the neotropical
as a favorable environment.
