What Have I Forgotten To Do
What Have I Forgotten To Do
***It's three in the morning and I can't get to sleep. I can't sleep because I know
I've forgotten to do something.
Son las tres de la mañana y no puedo dormir. No puedo dormir porque sé que
me he olvidado de hacer algo.
***I don't know what I've forgotten to do but I'm sure I have. I'm trying to think
what it could be.
****I'm convinced there's something I haven't done that I should have. I wonder
what it could be? I just can't think.
Estoy convencido de que hay algo que no he hecho que debería haber hecho.
Me pregunto qué podría ser. Sencillamente no puedo pensar.
***I'm going over everything I've done today and where I've been. And I still
can't come up with what it is that I've not done.
Estoy repasando todo lo que he hecho hoy y dónde he estado. Y sigo sin poder
imaginar qué es lo que no he hecho.
***But I know that something has slipped my mind. I just know. It is excruciating
knowing that you've forgotten to do something but you can't remember what it is
you've forgotten.
***I'm going to be tossing and turning all night thinking about it.
***Hang on! I know what it is! Why didn't I realise before? It's obvious!
Espera. ¡Sé lo que es! ¿Por qué no me di cuenta antes? ¡Es obvio!
***I've forgotten to go to bed. I've been trying to get off to sleep for the last three
hours in the kitchen chair.
