The Agroexporters Directory, published by the Association of Agricultural Products Guilds of Peru,
AGAP, provides readers, specialized or not in horticulture, with an overview of production and
agroexports. It also provides information on the country’s principal crops in modern agriculture and
on the production companies associated to the AGAP guilds, as well as the suppliers of products
and services connected to this especially important business sector. It is an important contribution
that should be seen as an example of the firm commitment to the entire value chain that surrounds
agriculture.
As has been the practice since the first edition, this new volume offers the viewpoints of the different
guilds that are part of our association, based on their experience in the previous harvest season and the
forecasts for the current season. In this edition, we introduce our new associate, PROARANDANOS,
which groups producers that are focused on the importance of encouraging the sale of blueberries, a
fruit that has huge potential in sales to international destinations.
Each of the agricultural production guilds has its own perspective. Our publication seeks to provide and
clarify information for local and international readers on the fluctuations of one of the most important
non-traditional export industries of the country and the sector that has the greatest impact on creating
direct and indirect jobs, with a sustainable contribution to the rural development of Peru.
