Robots are a part of modern life. In our factories, they build our
cars. The military uses them to pilot planes and to defuse or
blow up undetonated bombs. So why don't we have robots in
our homes to do our housework? They only exist in the movies,
but not in real life, right? Wrong! Housework robots really do
exist. Robots that vacuum clean the floor, and even iron your
clothes are already available. Japanese scientists are working on
a kitchen robot that will make you drinks and snacks and even
wash the dishes after you finish.
Unfortunately, it will be a long time before we have robots that
can take over all the chores for us. Scientists still need to come
up with robot technology that will be able carry out all these
kinds of jobs. Many scientists predict that within the next twenty
years, domestic robots will be expensive, so if you hate doing
chores, start saving up for your robot now.
Los robots son parte de la vida moderna. En nuestras fá bricas,
fabrican nuestros coches. Los militares los utilizan para pilotar
aviones y desactivar o hacer estallar bombas sin detonar.
Entonces, ¿por qué no tenemos robots en nuestras casas para
hacer nuestras tareas domésticas? solo existen en las películas,
pero no en la vida real, ¿verdad? ¡Equivocado! los robots de las
tareas domésticas realmente existen. Los robots que aspiran,
limpian el piso e incluso planchan tu ropa ya está n disponibles.
Los científicos japoneses está n trabajando en un robot de cocina
