TOPIC: SIMPLE PAST TENSE - AUXILIARY “DID”

El Pasado Simple lo usamos para referirnos a eventos o acciones que ocurrieron

en el pasado y que ya finalizaron.

 El “DID” es el auxiliar que usamos para construir oraciones en Tiempo

Pasado. Éste lo usamos con todos los pronombres: I, YOU, HE, SHE, IT,
WE, THEY.
 El auxiliar “DID” se usa en las formas Interrogativa y Negativa.
 La forma Negativa: did not también la puedes abreviar así: didn’t.
 En la forma Afirmativa no debes usar did porque el verbo se escribe en
Pasado.

ACTIVITY 1:

Ordena las siguientes oraciones en Pasado Simple escribiéndolas en forma

Afirmativa.

Sigue el ejemplo modelo:

1. Anna / the window / open 

Affirmative: Anna opened the window.

2. I / poor / help / people

I helped poor people.
3. my mother / in the garden / work 
My mother worked in the garden.
4. you / a song / sing 
You sing a song.
5. The baby / many hours / sleep

ACTIVITY 2:

Escribe las siguientes oraciones en Pasado Simple en forma Negativa.

Sigue el ejemplo modelo:

1. Daniel played in the park.

Negative: Daniel did not play in the park.
2. She lived with her parents.

She did not live with her parents

3. We went to the office by car.

4. The baby slept many hours.

 5. I ate a sandwich.

6. She rode her bicycle.

7. I washed my hands very well.

8. My mother cooked a delicious dinner.

9. I waited you all night

10. We bought a new house.

ACTIVITY 3:

Escribe la forma Interrogativa de las siguientes oraciones.

Sigue el ejemplo modelo:

1. I broke my elbow
Interrogative: Did I break my elbow?

2. He bought me a flower.

3. She drove a motorbike

4. They flew to the moon.

5. My father worked in that factory.

6. The train left at 7 a.m.

7. I wrote a poem for you.

8. I helped to my mother.

9. Mary gave me a lot of candies.

 10. My sister studied English all night.

ACTIVITY 4:

Con base en la actividad trabajada en clase, construye 10 oraciones en inglés en

las cuales hables sobre las cosas que hiciste en alguna vacación pasada.
