Microeconomía:

Ingreso y gasto
Producto bruto interno (PBI) mide el ingreso
total de todas las personas en la economía.
También mide el gasto total en bienes y
servicios en la economía.
Para la economía como un agregado,
el ingreso se iguala a los gastos
dado que cada peso que un consumidor
gasta es un peso de ingreso para el
vendedor.

Consumo (C)
Es el gasto total de las familias en bienes y
servicios.

Inversión (I)
Es el gasto total que será utilizado en la producción
de bienes futuros.
Incluye el gasto en:
Equipo de capital (e.g., máquinas, herramientas).
Infraestructura (empresas, construcción de oficinas,
casas).
Inventarios (bienes producidos pero todavía no
vendidos).
Nota: “la Inversión” no significa
compra de activos financieros como
acciones o bonos.

Gastos del Gobierno (G)
Es todo el gasto en bienes y servicios
comprados por el gobierno en todos sus niveles
(federal, provincial, municipal).
G excluye pagos por transferencias, como la
Seguridad Social o beneficios por Seguro de
Desempleo.
Ellos no forman parte de las compras de bienes
y servicios.

Exportaciones Netas (XN)
XN = exportaciones – importaciones.
Las exportaciones representan el gasto externo
en la compra de bienes y servicios locales.
Importaciones son las porciones de C, I, y G
que son gastadas en bienes y servicios
producidos en el exterior.
Sumando los componentes del PBI tenemos:

PBI y sus componentes
En cada uno de los siguientes casos determine cuánto se
afecta el PBI y sus componentes (si son afectados).
A. Adriana gasta $200 para invitar a cenar a su marido al
restaurante más fino de Rosario.
B. María gasta $1800 en una notebook para usar en su
negocio de publicidad. La notebook fue producida en
China.
C. Ana gasta $1200 en una notebook para su negocio de
edición. Ella pudo comprar una notebook del año
pasado a un buen precio de un productor local.
D. La empresa Chevrolet construye autos por valor de
$500 millones, pero los consumidores solo compran
autos por el valor de $470 millones.

El PBI no tiene en cuenta:
La calidad del medio ambiente.
Tiempo de ocio.
Actividades que no se realizan en el mercado,
como el cuidado de los niños que proveen los
padres en casa.
La distribución equitativa del ingreso.

Entonces, ¿por qué nos preocupamos
por el PBI?
Tener un PBI alto permite a los países tener
mejores escuelas, medio ambiente más limpio,
mejor salud, etc.
Muchos indicadores de la calidad de vida están
positivamente correlacionados con el PBI. Por
