GREENLAND.

Greenland is a huge island in the far, far north of the world. The weather there is very harsh
and cold. Even the “hottest” summer day on it is like a cool´s winter day in England. In the
summer months, the sun never sets; it is light all through the night. The warmest part of the
island is in the south coast and that is where most Greenlanders live. However, it is still a
very hard place to live because of the cold.

Seasons in Greenland are different to the seasons you probably know from back home.
Web only really have two definitive seasons – a long winter and a short summer.

Over the years, different groups of people have tried to live there, but most found it too
difficult.

GROENLANDIA.

Groenlandia es una isla enorme en el extremo norte del mundo. El clima allí es muy duro y
frío. Incluso el día de verano "más caluroso" es como un día de invierno fresco en
Inglaterra. En los meses de verano, el sol nunca se pone; hay luz durante toda la noche. La
parte más cálida de la isla se encuentra en la costa sur y es donde vive la mayoría de los
groenlandeses. Sin embargo, sigue siendo un lugar muy duro para vivir a causa del frío.

Las estaciones en Groenlandia son diferentes a las estaciones que probablemente conozca
de su país. Realmente solo tenemos dos estaciones definitivas: un invierno largo y un
verano corto.
