La siguiente gráfica muestra la topología básica implementada para la conectividad de las

Instituciones Educativas:

La parte WAN de la topología puede variar acorde con los recursos, equipos físicos y red
de transporte disponibles hasta el sitio de instalación del multipunto, para lo cual se
deberá analizar cuáles serían las posibles opciones para su implementación y determinar
que equipos adicionales a los Canopy Motorola son necesarios (Enrutador Mikrotik, Suiche,
etc) y esquema de direccionamiento IP y VLAN (si se requiere) se van a utilizar.

Para configurar el Access Point (AP) se debe acceder de las siguientes formas:

 Local. A través del Web Browser del PC.

 Remota. Por medio del Web Browser del PC (si el AP tiene una dirección IP fija
Pública) o del Sistema de Gestión PRIZM.

Se debe tener en cuenta el direccionamiento IP configurado en la interface de red LAN1

(LAN1 Network Interface):

 IP Default Access Point (si es nuevo): 169.254.1.1/16.

 Configuración en el PC:
o Dirección IPv4: 169.254.1.10.
 o Mascara de subred: 255.255.0.0.
o Puerta de enlace predeterminada: 169.254.1.1.
 http://169.254.1.1 (si el AP es nuevo)
 Cuenta de acceso en el AP (si es nuevo):
o Usuario: admin.
o Contraseña: admin.
 Cuenta de acceso en el AP (si está configurado en EDATEL para Instituciones
Educativas):
o Usuario: admin.
o Contraseña: edatel2009.

Se debe tener en cuenta que cuando se realicen cambios en la configuración del Access
Point se deben guardar (Save Changes) y además éste le indicara cuando se requiera
reiniciar el equipo (Reboot Required).

En la opción del menú Home, se muestra la información general sobre el estado actual de
configuración del Access Point, en esta opción no se puede hacer cambios.

Configuration - General
 Device Type:
o Device Setting: AP.
 Link Speed:
o Link Speed: Forced 100F.
 Bandwidth Configuration Source:
o Configuration Source: Authentication Server + SM. Si no se tiene un
Servidor SNM (PRIZM) se debe seleccionar SM.
 Sync Setting:
o Sync Input: Sync to Received (Power Port).
o Si en el sitio de instalación se van a instalar:
 Un (1) AP, el sincronismo lo debe controlar el mismo. La opción de Sync
Input es: Generate Sync Signal.
 Dos (2) APs, el sincronismo se puede controlar interconectándolos los APs a
través del puerto de sincronismo (Timing Port). La opción de Sync Input es:
Sync to Received (Timing Power Port).
 Tres (3) o mas APs, el sincronismo se controla por medio de un Cluster de
Sincronía (CMMmicro1070CK), La opción de Sync Input es: Sync to Received
(Power Port).
 Regional Setting:
o Regional Code: Other (Porque Colombia no aparece en los códigos
regionales que se muestran como opciones). Si se deja la opción de código
regional (None) el AP deshabilita la transmisión.
 Web Page Configuration:
o Webpage Auto Update: 5 (Cada cinco (5) segundos se actualiza la página
Web de configuración del AP).
 Bridge Configuration:
o Bridge Entry Timeout: 25 minutos.
o Translation Bridging: Disabled.
o Send Untranslated ARP: Disabled.
o SM Isolation: Disable SM Isolation.
 Update Application Information:
o Update Application Address: 0.0.0.0.
  MAC Control Parameters:
o Dynamic Rate Adapt: 1x/2x.
 Coordinates:
o Latitude: +0.000000 Decimal Degree.
o Longitude: +0.000000 Decimal Degree.
o Height: 0 Meters.

Configuration - IP

 LAN1 Network Interface Configuration:

o IP Address: 190.109.176.55 (Red WLAN).
o Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.192.
o Gateway IP Address: 190.109.176.1 (IP LAN Enrutador Mikrotik).
o DHCP state: Disabled.
 LAN2 Network Interface Configuration (Radio Private Interface):
o IP Address: 192.168.101.1.

Configuration - Radio
 Radio Configuration:
o Radio Frequency Carrier (MHz): 2437.5.
o Color Code: 10.
o Sector ID: 1.
o Max Range: 30 Miles
o Down Link Data: 75%
o Only Allow Subscriber with version 9.5 or Above: Disable.
  Hardware Scheduler Link Configurations:
o Control Slots: 0 (0: 1 – 10 SMs. 1: 11 - 50 SMs). Este
parámetro depende de la cantidad de los módulos subscriptores de cliente que
se estiman van a ser atendidos por el Access Point.
 Scan Policy:
o Broadcast Repeat Count: 2.
o Transmit Frame Spreading: Disabled.
 Transmitter Output Power:
o Transmitter Output Power: 25 dBm.

Recuerde configurar en el modulo subscriptor (SM -Subscriber Module-) del cliente, los
mismos parámetros de:

 Radio Frequency Carrier (MHz): 2437.5.

 Color Code: 10.
 Sector ID: 1.

Configuration - SNMP
  SNMP Community String 1: Canopy.
 SNMP Community String 1 Permissions: Read Only.
 SNMP Community String 2 (Read Only): Canopyro.
 SNMP Accessing Addresses:
o Accesssing IP / Subnet Mask 1: 0.0.0.0/0.
 Trap Addresses:
o Trap Address 1: 0.0.0.0/0.
 Trap Enable:
o Sync Status: Disabled.
