Presentación
Con la finalidad de lograr una vida mejor para los

bolivianos y las generaciones futuras es necesario que
impulsemos la produción industrial nacional y al mismo
tiempo protejamos el medio ambiente logrando su
aprovechamiento racional, que no ponga en peligro el
desarrollo industrial sostenible.
Proteger el medio ambiente no es un obstáculo a fin

de alcanzar el desarrollo sino uno de sus componentes,
es por esta razón que las actividades económicas que
puedan tener impacto en el medio ambiente están siendo
reguladas.
La actividad económica de la industria se sitúa

generalmente en áreas urbanizadas, por lo que es
necesario incorporar en el proceso de cambio a los
industriales y a la población en general respecto de la
prevención y mitigación de los impactos que pueda
causar y que estas acciones estan íntimamente ligadas
a la eficiencia y productividad.
El presente documento pretende informar y explicar

el contenido del Reglamento Ambiental para el Sector
Industrial Manufacturero (RASIM) en un lenguaje
sencillo, con dibujos explicativos, de modo que se facilite
su aplicación.
Esperamos de esta forma contribuir a que Bolivia

tenga una mejor gestión ambiental y logre el desarrollo
sostenible esperado.
