Resumen
Abstract
On the following practice, a tin deposition process was performed based on electrochemical oxidation and
reduction processes, using an ionic solution of 0.17 M SnCl2.4H2O bathed with 3 drops of 37% HCl and an
Energizer 9V battery as power source. As an anode, a piece of tin was used and, as an anode, a nickel coin
of 10 cents on which the metal ions were deposited. The process was carried out for 5 minutes, obtaining a
final weight of 2.6 mg of tin on the coin.
