Como suele ser habitual al comienzo de cada década, la Cámara Internacional de Comercio

procede a poner el día los incoterms con el fin de dar cabida a las novedades que se ha

producido en el comercio mundial durante los últimos diez años y, de este modo, seguir

facilitando los intercambios en todo el planeta.

Los inconterms detallan las tareas, los riegos y los costos relacionados con las transacciones

de mercancías, desde el vendedor hasta el comprador.

Principales beneficios

 Simplificar la terminología y el redactado de este instrumento del comercio

internacional, con el fin de facilitar su uso en todo el mundo, así como para aligerar

los trámites aduaneros.

 Empaquetado de los envíos internacionales, para equilibrar la información que

tienen los vendedores y los compradores para garantizar la seguridad de la carga,

especialmente en el caso de mercancías peligrosas.

 Proporcionar velocidad, seguridad y reducir riesgos al comprar y vender mercancía.
 Seguridad en el transporte.

Principales Problemas:
  La eliminación del EXW sería una pérdida importante, en especial, para aquellas

compañías con poca experiencia exportadora y el DDP para mercancías que

despachan muestras, repuestos o comercio a baja escala, productos que se envían

por lo general por compañías de Courier (envíos urgentes) que se ocupan de toda la

logística de distribución y aduanera hasta el lugar de compra. La justificación de

esta eliminación por parte del comité radica en que estas operaciones son

domésticas y van en contravía del nuevo código aduanero europeo.

 La negociación que se realizó el año anterior, como se manejaría en las nuevas

actualizaciones.

As usual at the beginning of each decade, the International Chamber of Commerce

proceeds to update the incoterms in order to accommodate the developments that have
occurred in world trade during the last ten years and, thus, continue to facilitate exchanges

throughout the planet.

The inconterms detail the tasks, risks and costs related to merchandise transactions, from

the seller to the buyer.

Main benefits

• Simplify the terminology and drafting of this instrument of international trade, in order to

facilitate its use throughout the world, as well as to lighten customs procedures.

• Packaging of international shipments, to balance the information that sellers and buyers

have to guarantee the safety of cargo, especially in the case of dangerous goods.

• Provide speed, security and reduce risks when buying and selling merchandise.

• Transportation security.

Main problems:

• The elimination of the EXW would be a significant loss, especially for those companies

with little export experience and the DDP for goods that dispatch samples, spare parts or

small-scale trade, products that are usually sent by Courier companies (express shipments )

that deal with all distribution and customs logistics to the place of purchase. The

justification for this elimination by the committee is that these operations are domestic and

go against the new European customs code.
