ACCUMULATOR Gene ee PROCEDURE OF NITROGEN FILLING INTO BLADDER ACCUMULATOR 1, OBJECTIVE This procedure aims to describe the nitrogen filling of bladder accumulator up to its pressure according to indications of designer and manufacturer of hydraulic pressure unit for the use of the accumulator. 2. SCOPE o This procedure applies for accumulator, bladder type, installed on each hydraulic prossure unit, to drive the gates on each dam for Cheves Hydropower Project. 3, PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND SAFETY MESURES > The hydraulic personnel will work with pressurized system, so the oil leak needs to be verified or checked by disabling the clectric motor or the originating source of pressurizing the hydraulic system. Consider the following indications © The work area must be cleaned, unmarked and should restrict access to anyone rather than the test personnel © Electrical and hydraulic responsible must keep constant communication via radio. © The personnel must have safety equipment such as safety shoes, helmet, goggles, ear protection, Tyvek suit and gloves Hycron > The electrical personnel should comply with the five golden rules on electrical safety before proceeding to work: % Disconnect the board. + Prevent any possible feedback. + Verify the absence of voltage. + Verify any possible energy source. Mark out the test area 24 ‘The personnel responsible for the test must have the appropriate personal protective equipment: Dielectric shoes, helmet, dielectric gloves, goggles and ear protection.
