viernes pasado comenzó a tener contracciones.
parto.
Mapuche gave birth in handcuffs with three gendarmes
The family of Lorenza Cayuhan, a Mapuche woman arrested on charges of robbery and attacks in
the south of the country, reported that she had been handcuffed with three gendarmes in the
delivery room, they said today.
"We are being raped by the dignity of being able to have a baby released. Lorenza was supposed
to be undergoing surgery, she was under anesthesia, it is impossible, illogical that she could start
up if she was that way," Arrested, Jose Cayuhan.
Lorenza, who is currently serving a five-year sentence for robbery with intimidation and attacks in
the province of Arauco, entered to serve her sentence when she was pregnant and started
contracting last Friday.
She was transferred to the Regional Hospital of Concepción and later to the Clinic of the Woman
of the German Sanatorium, where she had the cesarean delivery.
His brother also points out that "this is a criminalization that makes the State not only the police
but also the Gendarmerie."
For its part, the Public Criminal Ombudsman filed an amparo appeal in the Court of Appeals of
Concepción.
"It must be kept in mind that she is currently in a room of the Women's Clinic and there are three
gendarmes inside the room, an issue that clearly alters the recovery of Lorenza's health and also
her rights," said the The penitentiary, María Cristina Melgarejo.
"The objective of the amparo is to declare the illegality of this procedure practiced by the
Gendarmerie and to order it not to be held with that type of custody," said Malgarejo, who added
that "there can be no men and no less than three gendarmes within room".
However, Gendarmería said they tried to withdraw security measures prior to childbirth.
mujeres
Violencia de género
- Republican Party candidate Donald Trump supports human rights violations such as
torture. The United Nations has called its candidacy an international threat. Add to that his
aggressions towards women.
Gender violence
And to these positions contrary to the fundamental rights of humanity, are added the
complaints that in recent days has accumulated Trump by various women for situations that
reach even the attempted rape. Gender-based violence has been another area in which the
US candidate is concerned.
All these complaints, ranging from threats to the balance of human rights at the
international level and their support for torture, as well as their systematic attacks on
women have diminished their approval as a candidate.
