Martín Luther King. Este hombre revolucionó sin
This man undoubtedly
duda, el sentimiento de igualdad y libertad para
los negros, principalmente los pertenecientes a los
Estados unidos (su país). Desde muy joven este
destacado personaje, luchó por la aplicación
equitativa de las leyes ante todo ciudadano
norteamericano, fuese del color que fuese.
Dirigiendo una repercusiva protesta contra la
segregación de los autobuses municipales, fue
como inició su primera gran actuación de
revolución, pero debemos recalcar que siempre
fue un hombre con actitudes pacifistas, Luther
King se focalizó en la figura de Mahatma Gandhi, y
también en la llamada teoría de la desobediencia
civil de Henry David Thoreau.
Fue reconocido a lo largo de todo el país, en un
muy corto plazo, favoreciéndole a la atención que
el esperaba tener, al hacer su llamado, a través
del discurso citado en Agosto de 1963, reflejando
siempre ''su sueño'' de querer cambiar la actitud
que se tenía para con los negros, y así lograr una
igualdad social y justa para todos, pero ahora nos
preguntamos ¿Tuvieron algún resultado concreto
tales proclamaciones? Como toda historia trágica,
la respuesta a la interrogativa en nuestro parecer
tiende ser un rotundo NO, principalmente
fundamentándonos en el sueño de obtener
igualdades por medios pacíficos que nunca se
dejaron de lado mientras Luther King fue vocero
del movimiento social, en cambio, posterior a su
muerte, otros grupos de razas negras, optaron por
el uso de la violencia en varias ocasiones, y por
ende pusieron en distorsión las intenciones que
tenía Martín en su discurso, inclusive fue un
período de mucha violencia y derrame de sangre,
cosa que nuestro personaje evitó rotundamente.
Entonces no queda mas que pensar que el
discurso dictado por nuestro personaje, no fue
más que para quedar en la conciencia de unos
pocos, y tirado en la calle como la sangre que se
derramó en los días póstumos a su muerte. En
conclusión, diremos que la meta de la igualdad de
derechos y libertades para los negros no se logró
tal y como lo quería nuestro personaje, pero no
hay que dejar pasar la influencia en la forma de
pensar de "algunos" de la sociedad en la cuál se
desenvolvió. Finalmente se sabe que la igualdad
plena aún no se consigue, por lo que se deberá
obtener tras el lento paso del tiempo.

prominent character, fought for the fair
application of the laws before any American
citizen, whatever the color that was.
Leading a protest against the segregation of

performance of revolution, but we must
emphasize that he was always a man with pacifist
attitudes, Luther King focused on the figure of

He was recognized throughout the country, in a
very short time, favoring the attention he expected
to have, by making his call, through the speech
cited in August 1963, always reflecting "his
dream" of wanting change the attitude we had
towards the blacks, and thus achieve social
equality and fair for all, but now we ask ourselves:
Did such proclamations have any concrete results?
Like any tragic story, the answer to the question in
our opinion tends to be a resounding NO, mainly
based on the dream of obtaining equalities through
peaceful means that were never left aside while
Luther King was spokesman of the social
movement, instead, after his death, other groups
of black races, opted for the use of violence on
several occasions, and therefore put into distortion
Martin's intentions in his speech, even was a
period of much violence and bloodshed, which
our character avoided categorically. Then there is
no more to think that the speech dictated by our
character, was only to be in the consciousness of a
few, and thrown on the street as the blood that was
spilled in the days posthumous to his death. In
conclusion, we will say that the goal of equality of
rights and freedoms for blacks was not achieved
as our character wanted, but we must not let go of
the influence in the way of thinking of "some" of
society in the which evolved. Finally it is known
that full equality is not yet achieved, so it must be
obtained after the slow passage of time.
