III. ABSTRACT:
In this experience we were able to realize the differences that exist in the
measurement of voltage in c.a. with the voltmeter and oscilloscope. In the
former there is a greater margin of error due to the loading effect. We use the
signal generator to measure voltages, frequencies and phase difference angles
in a circuit.
We were able to calculate the frequency using the oscilloscope indirectly
because we first measured the period using the oscilloscope and then made the
following calculation f = 1/T and obtain the frequency.
Another way of knowing to calculate the frequency was by means of the
𝑛𝑣
Lissajouss Figures by means of the following calculation 𝑓ℎ = ( ) . 𝑓𝑣
𝑛ℎ
Where:
𝑓ℎ = signal frequency connected to the horizontal axis (X) of the
oscilloscope.
𝑓𝑣 = signal frequency connected to the vertical axis (Y) of the
oscilloscope.
nh = points of tangency of the figure of Lissajouss with the axis X.
nv = points of tangency of the figure of Lissajouss with the axis Y.
We measure the phase difference of the circuit using again the Lissajouss
Figures or simply observing the waves that are formed in oscilloscope of each
channel.
To realize this experience we use the following equipment and materials: signal
generator, multimeter, oscilloscope, 220v / 12v transformer, 120KΩ resistors,
56KΩ, 39KΩ and some connection cables.
By making a comparison between the data obtained and the measured data we
see that there is a margin of error, since systematic errors will always be
present, besides the margin of error that the resistances carry with them, and
the loading effect of the measuring instruments, but this difference is almost
always minimal, since the variation occurs in decimals.
