Describing my trip to Arequipa using Simple Past

My Friends and I went to Arequipa, we stayed at the hotel”

The Premiere”.
In the morning, we went to visit the Plaza de Armas of
Arequipa, then we went the tourist site and we had lunch in a
typical food restaurant.
It was very funny my stay in the White city “Arequipa”. I had
one of my best experiences Knowing their customs and It was
beautiful to contemplate the beautiful landscape.
After three days, we had to turn to Lima and continue with
our daily routines; study, work, etc.
