Ciclo 4.

1. DESCRIPCIÓN: EL CLUB CONVERSACIONAL TUTEO ES UN ESPACIO ÚNICO Y EXCLUSIVO EN

LA CIUDAD EN DONDE UN GRUPO DE JÓVENES SE REÚNE EN TORNO AL IDIOMA INGLÉS,
SOCIALIZA Y MEJORA SUS HABILIDADES COMUNICATIVAS MIENTRAS SE DIVIERTE DOS
NOCHES POR SEMANA (MARTES Y JUEVES). ESTÁ DIRIGIDO POR ANDRÉS GÓMEZ,
COORDINADOR DE TUTEO, QUIEN PONE A DISPOSICIÓN A UN EQUIPO ALTAMENTE
CAPACITADO, CARISMÁTICO Y CON EXPERIENCIA EN LA ENSEÑANZA DE INGLÉS (VER SUS
RESEÑAS AL FINAL DEL DOCUMENTO), QUIENES SERÁN LOS ENCARGADOS DE COORDINAR
CADA SESIÓN DEL CLUB. LAS LOCACIONES EN DONDE SE REALIZAN LAS REUNIONES VARÍAN
CADA SEMANA, Y TIENEN COMO SEDE DISTINTOS ESPACIOS EN EL ÁREA DE CABECERA Y SUS
ALREDEDORES, CON EL FIN DE DIVERSIFICAR LA ACTIVIDAD. LAS DOS PRIMERAS SESIONES
SE REALIZARÁN EN LA CRA 40 48-07 EDIFICIO FUENTE PIEDRA APTO 302 (UNA CUADRA
ARRIBA DE LA UNAB). CADA SEMANA SE INFORMARÁ DE LA UBICACIÓN ESCOGIDA PARA EL
DESARROLLO DE LAS SESIONES.

3. DURACIÓN: 12 SESIONES CADA UNA DE DOS HORAS APROXIMADAMENTE.

1. ICEBREAKER: EL OBJETIVO DE ESTA ACTIVIDAD ES QUE LOS ASISTENTES EMPIECEN A

CONOCERSE A TRAVÉS DE ALGUNA DINÁMICA CORTA QUE VARIARÁ EN CADA SESIÓN (20
MINS).
2. DISCUSIÓN O DEBATE: AQUÍ LOS PARTICIPANTES PROBARÁN SU PENSAMIENTO CRÍTICO,
SU FLUIDEZ, Y SU CONOCIMIENTO ACERCA DE ALGUNA TEMÁTICA ESPECÍFICA (30 MINS).
3. BREAK/CONVERSACIÓN LIBRE: ES UN ESPACIO ESPONTÁNEO EN EL QUE LOS ASISTENTES
PODRÁN INTERACTUAR ENTRE SÍ LIBREMENTE HABLANDO EN INGLÉS (15 MINS).
4. ACTIVIDAD LÚDICA: JUEGO O ACTIVIDAD DINÁMICA QUE PRETENDE AFIANZAR LAS
COMPETENCIAS COMUNICATIVAS EN TEMAS DE VOCABULARIO, FLUIDEZ, USO ADECUADO
DE GRAMÁTICA Y EXPRESIONES, CAPACIDAD DE IMPROVISACIÓN, ETC. SE ENTREGARÁ UN
PEQUEÑO PREMIO SIMBÓLICO AL GANADOR O GRUPO DE GANADORES DE LA ACTIVIDAD
O A QUIENES SE DESTAQUEN SEGÚN EL CRITERIO DEL TUTOR Y COORDINADOR (30 MINS).
5. REALIMENTACIÓN O FEEDBACK: EN ESTE ESPACIO UNO DE LOS TUTORES ENCARGADOS DE
LA SESIÓN, QUIEN HA MONITOREADO EL DESEMPEÑO DE CADA ASISTENTE, REALIZA UNA
PEQUEÑA RETROALIMENTACIÓN DEL MISMO, DÁNDOLE SUGERENCIAS Y OBSERVACIONES
EN PRO DEL MEJORAMIENTO DEL ASISTENTE. LOS ASISTENTES TAMBIÉN PODRÁN HACER
PREGUNTAS Y ACLARAR SUS DUDAS. ES IMPORTANTE QUE LOS ASISTENTES LLEVEN EN
DONDE TOMAR APUNTES PARA QUE APROVECHEN LA INFORMACIÓN DADA EN ESTA
SECCIÓN (15 MINS).

SILVIA CEPEDA GARCÍA

I am 23 years old and I am a graduate economist of the Universidad Industrial de Santander. During
2011, I travelled for a short period to the United States. I have some experience in teaching English
to children and in preparation of English festivals. I also had the opportunity of being a teacher of
Instituto de Lenguas UIS for courses KIDS 1 and KIDS 2, and in many occasions, I have worked as a
private teacher for subjects such as Mathematics and Science, in English. Last year I certified my
English level as C1 with the IELTS Test. Right now, I am preparing myself for a master program
abroad.

PAOLA ANDREA MEJÍA

I am 23 years old and I am an engineering student. I have been a big fan of English language since I
was a child. I understood how important is this language to be more competitive and that’s why I
decided to start studying the language and traveled to improve it. I lived in USA for a year in a
cultural exchange program and I can say it was one of the best experiences in my life. My teaching
experience started about five years ago, tutoring bachelor and high school students in different
subjects like chemistry, physics, math and English. After I came back from United States, I started
with conversational classes and since then until now it has been a really nice experience since I can
help people to improve their language while I practice and improve mine. I really think one of the
best ways to learn is teaching.

JUAN MANUEL PINEDA

I lived since the age of 7 in Merced, California and I have had the privilege to learn English in my
everyday routine in an English speaking country. There, I learned and put into practice the language
in all social and academic aspects of my life as: participating in team sports such as football and
athletics, school clubs and events, going to parties and being in different courses at school. Also, I
had the opportunity in high school to be in advanced English classes the last two years, doing a lot
of reading comprehension and writing exercises.

MARY RODRIGUEZ

I am a Bachelor in English Language Teaching graduate from the Universidad Industrial de Santander
UIS. I was in USA in a cultural exchange for a year, also I’ve been a teacher of Instituto de Lenguas
UIS and I have more than two years of experience in English teaching as a private teacher and in
different schools of Bucaramanga and Floridablanca. English language has always been my passion
and that’s why I love it and try so hard to improve it every day.

COORDINATOR

ANDRÉS GÓMEZ

Founder and director of Tuteo (2015) integral academic support company and coordinator of its
alternative project Tuteo English Conversation Club, which has already completed three cycles,
consolidating itself as a value proposition to strengthen the communication skills in English. His
experience as a teacher, especially in areas of mathematics and physics, led him to form Tuteo, after
more than ten years of work. He alternated his studies in electronic engineering at Universidad
Industrial de Santander as a chorister of Coral Universitaria UIS with which he carried out several
international representations. He is currently a literature student at Universidad Autónoma de
Bucaramanga UNAB, singer of its official choir, freelance copywriter and translator, private teacher
and leader of his own entrepreneurship.
