RESUMEN:
A survey with open, closed, optional questions was carried out through a
representative sample of 100 girls from the educational units mentioned. This is a
cross-sectional descriptive study.
100% of the girls already experienced their first menstruation, although they know
the conceptualization of the menstruation, they do not know the measures that must
be used during this process, the totality of the girls present dysmenorrhea, from a
mild to moderate and intense pain in a minimum percentage, 40% use drugs to
relieve pain and minimal proportion use traditional medicine, 60% of girls do not use
any measure for pain relief situation that interferes with the performance of daily
activities and disrupts attendance at classes in some cases.
In conclusion, the present investigation is that the girls from 9 to 13 years of the
Educational Units Adhemar Bravo Monasterio, Mangalito and Ignacio Ortiz Mendoza
of the City of Trinidad, present a dysmenoric process during their menstruation and
are not aware of the measures for pain management menstrual.
