FUERZAS FÍSICAS
En física, la fuerza es una magnitud vectorial
que mide la razón de cambio de momento
lineal entre dos partículas o sistemas de
partículas. Según una definición clásica,
fuerza es todo agente capaz de modificar la
cantidad de movimiento o la forma de los
materiales.
FLEXIÓN
Se denomina flexión al tipo de
deformación que presenta un elemento
estructural alargado en una dirección
perpendicular a su eje longitudinal. El
esfuerzo que provoca la flexión se
denomina momento flector.

En la mecánica la fuerza centrífuga es
una fuerza ficticia que aparece cuando se
describe el movimiento de un cuerpo en

Compresión Este verbo refiere a

reducir a menor volumen.
Esfuerzo de compresión se halla
en la mecánica como uno de los
tiempos de recorrido del pistón de
un motor Otto o diésel.

Bending is defined as the type of
deformation which has an elongated
structural member in a direction
perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. The
effort that causes the flexion is called the
bending moment.

La torsión mecánica consiste en la aplicación
de un momento de fuerza sobre el eje
longitudinal de una pieza prismática. La
barra de torsión se emplea en los
automóviles para conectar los ejes de la
suspensión.
PAR DE TORSIÓN
Se denomina momento de una fuerza una
magnitud obtenida como producto vectorial
del vector de posición del punto de
aplicación de la fuerza con respecto al
origen y el vector de fuerza.
Ocasionalmente recibe el nombre de torque
a partir del término inglés (torque),
derivado a su vez del latín torquere
