STRATEGY OF SILABIC AWARENESS
CHAIN OF WORDS CADENA DE PALABRAS
Material:
✎ Photocopy
Activity:
 Give the students a photocopy with a table of 5 columns
 In this table the students must write in the first column a
word that they choose, for example; PALA
 Then the students must divide the word by syllables
(PA-LA)
 After they observe the last syllable of the word and must
write in the second column a new word that begins with
that last syllable. Example: PA-LA ---> LA-TA
 Again we identify the last syllable of the new word (LA-
TA) to think a new word that begins with the last syllable,
we repeat the process until completing the 5 columns of
the table. Example: PA-LA ---> LA-TA ---> TA-ZA
 You can add the rows you wantv
Note: Words must be frequent or familiar, short and have
conceptual representation
ESTRATEGIA DE CONCIENCIA SILÁBICA

✎ Fotocopia
Actividad:
 Entregar a los alumnos una fotocopia con una tabla de 5
columnas
 En esta tabla los alumnos deben escribir en la primera
columna una palabra que ellos elijan, por ejemplo: PALA
 Después los alumnos deben dividir la palabra por
sílabas(PA-LA)
 Pedir que observen la última sílaba de la palabra y deben
escribir en la segunda columna una nueva palabra que
comience con esa última sílaba. Ejemplo: PA-LA---> LA-TA
 Nuevamente identificamos la última sílaba de la nueva
palabra (LA- TA) para pensar una nueva palabra que
empiece con la última sílaba, repetimos el proceso hasta
completar las 5 columnas de la tabla.
Ejemplo: PA-LA---> LA-TA---> TA-ZA
 Se pueden añadir las filas que desee.
Nota: Las palabras deben ser frecuentes o familiares,
cortas y tener representación conceptual
