Abstract
El artculo discute la posicin retrica del Nuevo Mundo en el texto "Alocucin a la Poesa," del poeta
venezolano Andrs Bello. El textode Bello explor la retrica poltica y el concepto de romper con Europa. Se
menciona el texto como un ofrecimiento al Nuevo Mundo para comenzar de nuevo y rearticular la esttica del
ser humano. El artculo tambin analiza este concepto a travs del proyecto potico inconcluso de Bello
titulado "Amrica. "
