familias afectadas por las inundaciones en la provincia Monte
Cristi fueron apoyadas con kits de higiene y de alimentos, adems
de una charla sobre prevencin de enfermedades transmitidas
por el agua, basura e insectos gracias a Start Fund, al grupo
empresarial Total y World Vision, en colaboracin con ADRA

El START FUND es un fondo multi donante creado para dar
respuesta rpida a emergencias. Es una red colectiva manejada por
unos 40 miembros en todo el mundo y se estableci para llenar
algunos vacos en la arquitectura de los fondos humanitarios en
reas especficas de la respuesta en emergencias. Naci en abril
de 2014, se han realizado ms de 32 alertas, y han respondido KITS DE HIGIENE KITS DE ALIMENTOS
a ms de 26 de ellas beneficiando a 1,2 millones de personas
afectadas.
Total es un grupo empresarial francs del sector petroqumico
y energtico. Estn presentes en ms de 130 pases.

gaps in the architecture of humanitarian funds in specific areas of
emergency response. The fund was started in April 2014, more
than 32 alerts have taken place, and they have responded to
more than 26 of them benefiting 1.2 million people affected.
Total is a French business group in the petrochemical and
energy sector. They are present in more than 130 countries.

Santo Domingo, November 23, 2016. - International Plan, UNICEF and World Vision announced the winners of the XII Journalistic
Competition on Children and Adolescents topics, which awards five categories of social communication: Printed Journalism, Digital Journalism,

Amanda Espinoza es parte de un grupo de 25


jvenes de la comunidad La Javilla, en Sabana Perdida,
quienes se graduaron en septiembre del ao pasado
de Liderazgo comunitario, un curso de 8 meses
impartido por World Vision.
Para Amanda esto ha trado un cambio favorable.

"Me gust aprender a ser una


verdadera lder, ya que yo crea que
ser lder era lo mismo que ser jefa.
Aprend a dirigir creando un equipo, y
me gust mucho aprender a facilitar
y a compartir lo que aprendo. "
