Narrator: In the beautiful Verona, two families that hate each other will cause
the tragedy of their innocent sons. At the following we will be the witness of the
conflict that takes place here.
Narrador: En la hermosa Verona, dos familias que se odian sern las causantes de la tragedia de sus
inocentes hijos. A continuacin seremos testigos del conflicto que ocurrir aqu.
Sanson (cap): The Montagues family hates the Capulets. (La familia Montesco odia
a los Capuleto)

Gregorio (cap): Yes, and we are going to fight against the Montesgues. (S, y
vamos a pelear en contra de los Montesco)
Sanson (cap): As servants we must defend the honor of our family (como criados
debemos defender el honor de nuestra familia)
Gregorio (cap): Lets get ready then to fight! (Preparmonos entonces para pelear!)
Teobaldo (cap): Why are you getting out your water gun? (Por qu has sacado la
pistola de agua? grita con miedo-)
Teobaldo (cap): So thats what you want to do? I am Capulets nephew, and I
shall take your word (Entonces eso es lo que quieres hacer? Yo soy el sobrino de Capuleto y tomar
tu palabra)
Pap Capuleto: Come on and fight with me! You coward! (ven y pelea conmigo,
cobarde)
Pap Montesco: Yes, of course. Im not a coward. You loser! If you want to
fight, prepare to use your gun, but I warn you, once you point at me, Id already
shot you three times. You wont win this time, we have so much history upon us
and I wont let you go so easily. (S, claro que voy, no soy un cobarde. Perdedor! Si t quieres
pelear, preprate para usar tu arma, te lo advierto, una vez que me apuntes, ya yo habr disparado tres
veces. No ganars esta vez, tenemos mucha historia sobre nosotros y no te dejar ir tan fcil)
Escala: Stop! Dont fight! Be quiet, please. I am the prince of Verona, we cant
be fighting every time. Therere some things that we must understand: we live
in the same place, and we need each other, so, please, lets try to be a little
more comprehensive. (Paren, no peleen, tranquilos por favor, yo soy el prncipe de Verona, no
podemos estar peleando todo el tiempo. Hay algunas cosas que debemos entender: vivimos en el mismo
lugar, nos necesitamos unos a otros, entonces, por favor, vamos a tratar de ser ms comprensivos)
Act II
Romeo (mont): I will go to the party although Im not invited, and Ill use a
great mask (Yo ir a esa fiesta aunque no est invitado y usar una mscara genial)
Mercutio (mont): You should not go, it is very dangerous. If they recognized
you, you are a death man. You know that this family hates you so much, you
must be very careful, if they find out, nobody will be able to save you. Im your
best friend, trust me, I wish you the best, Send me a message if youre in some
kind of trouble. (No deberas ir, es muy peligroso. Si ellos te reconocen, eres hombre muerto. T sabes
que esta familia te odia mucho as que debes tener mucho cuidado, si se enteran, nadie podr salvarte. Yo
soy tu mejor amigo, confa en m, te deseo lo mejor, mndame un mensaje si ests en alguna clase de
problema)
Paris: Juliet I am related to the prince, and I find you really attractive, would
you dance with me? (Julieta, yo soy pariente del prncipe y te encuentro muy atractiva, quieres
bailar conmigo?)
Romeo (mont): You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, I cant stop
watching you. Would you dance with me? (T eres la joven ms hermosa que haya visto, no
puedo dejar de verte. Bailaras conmigo?)
Juliet (cap): Oh, you are so kind. Id love to (Oh, eres tan amable, me encantara)
(Empiezan a bailar)
Nana (cap): Your mother is calling you, Juliet, you have to stop dancing, go
immediately (Tu madre te est llamando Julieta, termina de bailar y ve
inmediatamente)
Mam Capuleto (grita a lo lejos)(cap) : Juliet come right now please, I have
to talk to you (Julieta ven ahora por favor, tengo que hablar contigo)

Juliet (cap) (se dirige a Romeo): I must leave you but I dont really want to,
hurry up, give me your number Ill call you and youll have mine. (Me tengo que
ir aunque no quiero, rpido, dame tu nmero, yo te llamo y as tendrs el mo)
Narrator: Romeo cant stop thinking of Juliet, at the party he realized how
beautiful she was and also that she was Capulets daughter, his rival, but he
still thinks he loves her. (Romeo no deja de pensar en Julieta, se dio cuenta en la fiesta de lo
hermosa que era y que adems es hija del rival Capuleto, pero an as cree que la ama)
Romeo with the cellphone (mont): I cant stop thinking of you, marry me!
(No puedo dejar de pensar en ti csate conmigo!)
Act IV
Romeo (mont): I am in love with Juliet and I want to marry her. (Estoy enamorado
de Julieta y me quiero casar con ella)
Fray Lorenzo: Come to the church this evening and Ill marry you with Juliet.
Ill call her right now and tell her, dont worry (Ven a la iglesia esta noche y yo te casar
con Julieta. La llamar ahora y le dir, no te preocupes)
Fray Lorenzo: Juliet, you must come to the church, Im with Romeo and he
wants to marry you, Ill be waiting (Julieta, debes venir a la iglesia, estoy con Romeo y el se
quiere casar contigo, estar esperando)
Act V
(Ms tarde en la iglesia. Era una boda secreta, as que slo estn
ellos tres, Romeo la est esperando en el altar)
Julieta (cap): Yes, I do, although our families cant know it (S, lo acepto, aunque
nuestras familias no deban saberlo)
Fray Lorenzo: Do you accept Juliet Capulet as your wife? (aceptas a Julieta Capuleto
como tu esposa?)
Romeo (mont): Yes, I do. I love you so much (S, la acepto, te amo mucho)
Teobaldo (cap): There you are Romeo, I know you married Juliet. Fight,
coward! (Ah ests Romeo, s que te casaste con Julieta, pelea cobarde!)
Romeo (mont): I cant fight with you! (No puedo pelear contigo)
(Se disparan con las pistolas de agua y Teobaldo cae al suelo muerto)
Paris: I love your daughter and I want to marry her. I can provide her a life full
of joy. As you may know, I am wealthy and I can give her everything she could
ever wish or need. I come to you, to your common sense, I want you to help me
in this purpose (Amo a su hija y me quiero casar con ella. Yo le puedo proveer una vida llena de alegra.
Como ustedes ya saben, soy una persona adinerada y puedo darle a ella todo lo que desee o necesite. Acudo
a ustedes, a su buen sentido y quiero que me ayuden en este propsito)
Mam de Julieta (cap): Yes, she will be your wife next Thursday. (S, ella ser tu
esposa el prximo jueves)
Mam de Julieta (cap): Juliet, Paris came a few minutes ago, he really loves
you and he is a rich man, I want you to marry him (Julieta, Paris vino hace unos minutes, el
realmente te ama y es millonario. Yo quiero que te cases con l)
Julieta (cap): Oh, no, mom. I dont love Paris. I love Romeo. (Oh no mama, yo no
amo a Paris, yo amo a Romeo)
Julieta (cap): Fray, I dont love Paris. I love Romeo. I cant marry him (Fray yo no
amo a Paris, amo a Romeo, no me puedo casar con l)
Fray Lorenzo: Ill help you. Youll drink this coca cola and youll sleep all day.
Everybody will think you are dead and you cant marry Paris. (Yo te ayudar, t te
tomars esta cocacola y dormirs todo el da, todos creern que ests muerta y no te podrs casar con Paris)
Nana (Grita)(cap): Oh, no, my sweet girl! Shes dead! I cant believe what
Im seeing, she was so young, I had to die before she did, How could I tell her
parents? I was supposed to keep her safe, she was my life, my everything. (oh
no, mi dulce nia est muerta, no puedo creer lo que estoy viendo, era tan joven, yo tuve que morir antes
que ella. Cmo podr decrselo a sus padres? Se supone que yo deba cuidarla, ella era mi vida, mi todo)
Mam y Pap de Julieta (llorando)(cap): Oh, no, our daughter is dead! (Oh
no, nuestra hija est muerta)
ACTO IX
Romeo(mont): Oh, no, my sweet wife is dead! I want to die too. (Oh no, mi dulce
esposa est muerta, yo quiero morir tambin)
Narrator: The one who risks fighting, also risks losing the things he loves
most. Let the tragedy of this two families serves to guide us. (Aquel que se arriesga a
pelear se arriesga tambin a perder aquello que ms ama en la vida. Que la tragedia de estas familias sirva
para guiarnos)
