Instruc,ons for Studio One


VocALign Pro 4 as an Event Fx
These instruc,ons describe how to use VocALign Pro using the Drag and Drop method. You can also use the Drop
Down menus, please see the User Manual for details.
1) In Studio One, add the VocALign plug-in as an Event Fx to the Guide and Dub audio events. To do this, select the
Guide and Dub Events in Studio One and from the context menu for Audio Events, select Edit with VocALign.
Note: As an alterna,ve, you can also use Drag and Drop to add VocALign as an Event Fx. To do this, hold down
the <ALT> key then drag VocALign Pro from the eects browser and drop it on the Guide and Dub audio events.
It is important to keep the <ALT> key held down throughout this opera,on.
2) In Studio One select the Guide Event and drag it into VocALigns Guide display window. You can drag only one
Guide Event at a ,me. The audio waveforms should appear in VocALign's Guide window.
3) In Studio One select the Dub Events you want to align to the Guide and drag it into VocALigns Dub display
window. VocALign will then align the Dub to the Guide and create the audio for the aligned Dub. You will see
the energy proles of the original audio and the energy prole of the Aligned Dub superimposed on the Guide.
4) In Studio One, play from the start of captured audio. You should now hear the Guide and the aligned audio.
5) You can create an audio le of the edited Aligned Dub by using Studio One's Render feature.
6) Note: We recommend that you include about half a second of background signal before the audio starts in the
Guide and Dub. If you cannot do this, you can move the le] blue and orange sliders (between the Guide and
Dub windows) to half a second before the Guide and Dub starts. Once youve done this press the Process
bu_on to recreate the aligned output. Please see the manual for details.
