Read the text of Gabriel García Márquez’s acceptance speech when he was given
the Nobel Prize for Literature.
In 3-5 pages, discuss the relation between the issues touched upon in the speech to
those issues delineated in the novel. Be as specific as possible, but don’t give me
plot summary or lift text directly from the book, unless it’s a brief quote. If you d
any research—either on-line or in the library—THIS MUST BE DOCUMENTED
The failure to adequately cite your sources constitutes plagiarism and can result in
serious consequences.
The paper should be typed, with 1” margins and reasonably sized fonts [12 pt.]

Literatura
En un ensayo de 3-5 páginas, describe la relación entre los temas en el discurso y
los temas presentados en la novela. Sé lo más específico posible, pero no quiero un
resumen del argumento; tampoco quiero citas largas tomadas directamente de la
novela. Se puede buscar información de otras Fuentes [biblioteca, la Red]; hay qu
documentarlas. Si no, se considera plagio y tendrás que explicarte a la Provost
Kirkpatrick [PhD en literatura española].
El trabajo debe ser escrito a máquina, con márgenes de 1” y letras de 12 pts.
