Game Description
==================================================================
Air Raid immerses you in a mind blowingly realistic battle simulation that featu
res
stunning 3D shoot'em up action. Air Raid opens with an epic cinematic introducti
on
that thrusts you into the adrenaline-pumping, action packed world of a World War
II
battleship under enemy fire. The gamer finds himself stationed behind the awesom
e
firepower of a 40mm Bofor Anti-Aircraft fixed deck gun on the bow of a battleshi
p
reminiscent of the famed U.S.S. Missiouri. Your mission is to blast away at the
endless onslaught of enemy attackers hell bent on sinking your battleship.
Air Raid recreates a fictional battle scenario, with options to engage in either
Single Player or Multi Player (LAN support only) modes. The game's objective is
to defend your battleship by eliminating all enemy planes in the air raid. In si
ngle
player mode, there are 99 mind blowing levels of game play for you to experience
.
The Multi-Player option allows up to six gamers to man their own 40mm fixed deck
guns to help fend off the encroaching enemy attackers as a team.
Each new level promises more explosive action than the last, with enemy planes
that increase in number, aggresiveness, and evasive ability. The players must
manage their ammo stores carefully, or find themselves defenseless against
wave after wave of merciless aggressors. The players' skills are pushed to
their limits as the enemy onslaught becomes ever more relentless.
As you complete your individual missions, your courage under fire will be
rewarded with commensurate military honors. After every five levels of action,
another medal will be pinned to your lapel. If you can survive the enemy onslaug
ht
through all 99 challenging levels of gameplay; you will be awarded with the hig
hest
decoration in the Armed Services, the Medal of Honor. Honor, glory, and pride
await you in victory. But remember, your ultimate mission is just to survive: Ai
r Raid.
