FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE VIDEO ARTE DE CAMAGEY EN CUBA DEL 24 AL 28 DE ABRIL DE 2013

BASES: PARTICIPANTES: A esta convocatoria, podrn presentarse artistas o colectivos de creadores de cualquier nacionalidad, edad y sexo. OBRAS: 1. Cada artista o colectivo de creadores podr presentar tantas obras como desee para su consideracin por el Comit de Seleccin del Festival. 2. Se convoca en las siguientes variantes genricas: Monocanal o Monobanda Video performance Video danza Video instalacin (video-escultura y video-environment). 3. De las obras video-instalativas, se requerir enviar un proyecto que incluya la siguiente informacin: planos, fotos, videos y breve descripcin del funcionamiento. Cada autor se har responsable del equipamiento, traslado y montaje de su obra. Los organizadores realizarn las coordinaciones necesarias, prevern los espacios adecuados y brindarn el apoyo de personal especializado para montaje. 4. La temtica ser libre y no habr restricciones en cuanto a duracin de las obras. 5. Las obras se presentarn en soporte de disco, en formato mpg2 o de DVD (NTSC). No se aceptarn otros formatos o soportes. 6. Cada obra requerir de un FORMULARIO DE INSCRIPCIN PREVIAMENTE FIRMADO, debiendo incluir adems: Currculum profesional del autor. Breve descripcin de la idea o tema de la(s) obra(s). Foto de la(s) obra(s) en formato digital (JPEG a 300 DPI). ADMISIN y COLEGIATURA: 1. Las obras sern recibidas hasta el 28 de febrero de 2013. Se tendr en cuenta la fecha del matasellos de correo. 2. Para la admisin, se conformar un Comit de Seleccin integrado por profesionales de las artes visuales cuyo fallo final ser inapelable. 3. Las obras seleccionadas se darn a conocer a travs de las direcciones de correo electrnico consignadas por cada artista en su formulario de inscripcin. 4. El pago de la cuota de inscripcin ser requisito indispensable para todos los artistas asistentes al festival. Los artistas nacionales debern abonar 100 pesos (MN) y los artistas internacionales, 100 (CUC). El pago de dicha colegiatura se efectuar el da 24 de abril de 2013, durante la acreditacin oficial al festival. 5. Otros interesados en asistir al festival en calidad de participantes o acompaantes debern abonar, segn su nacionalidad, las cantidades descritas en el punto anterior. 6. El pago de la colegiatura ofrece derechos a: Todas las actividades del programa diseado por el Comit Organizador del Festival. Mdulo de acreditacin. Cocteles de bienvenida y clausura. Recorrido por el Centro Histrico de la Ciudad. Coffee breaks. Certificado de participacin.

Se otorgar el Premio del Festival, y tantas menciones como se estime. 2. Se otorgarn adems varios premios de instituciones nacionales e internacionales, consistentes en tecnologa, financiamiento y promocin. Estos sern otorgados segn los criterios del jurado y las pautas establecidas por cada institucin auspiciadora de los premios. INFORMACIN GENERAL: 1. El Comit Organizador del Festival se reserva el derecho de invitar a aquellos artistas, curadores, especialistas y crticos nacionales e internacionales que considere oportunos para la realizacin del evento. 2. Todas las obras en su registro digital pasarn a formar parte de los archivos del Festival para su utilizacin en presentaciones culturales, sin fines comerciales y como parte del evento en su modalidad itinerante. Nota: La omisin o falsedad en cualquier dato solicitado conducir a la exclusin del concurso. No sern consideradas aplicaciones incompletas o que no cumplan los requisitos.

GUIDELINES: WHO CAN PARTICIPATE Absolutely all artists can participate in this Festival, disregarding nationality, age or sex. THE ARTWORKS 1. The number of artworks to be sent to the festival is unlimited. All works are to be approved by the Selection Committee appointed for the Festival 2. Authors may participate in any of the following categories: Mono-channel o Mono-band Video performance Video dance Video installation (video-sculpture and video-environment). 3. For the video installations, the artists are required to send the following information: sketch, photos, videos and a brief description of the pieces functioning. The author will be full responsible for the equipment needed, transportation and assembly of the pieces. The Organizing Committee will provide the spaces required as well as specialized staff for the assembly. 4. Topics are free and the length of film is unlimited. 5. Videos will be presented on CD/DVD, in MPG2 or DVD (NTSC) formats. Any other format or device than the above-mentioned will be NOT accepted. 6. The video must be sent along with the ENTRY FORM, previously filled out, signed and must also include the following information: Authors CV Statement A still of the videoart (JPEG at 300 DPI)

ADMISSION AND ENTRY FEE: 1. The final deadline for videoarts reception will be February 28, 2013. The date certified as mailed by the post-office will be taken into account for acceptance. 2. A Selection Committee involving experts of the Visual Arts will select the works that will take part at the festival. 3. Artists will be notified of acceptance via email using the contact information in the registration form. 4. The entry fee is compulsory for all artists coming to the Festival. For national artists is 100 pesos (MN), and for foreign participants, 100.00 CUC. 5. Other people willing to attend the festival must pay the fees previously mentioned. 6. The entry fee allows participants: To be part of every activity within the Program of the Festival, conceived by the Organizing Committee. To receive a program for the event, and information about all activities, Festivals publicity plus identification cards. Welcome and farewell cocktails. City-tour of Camageys Historical Site Area. The jury will grant the International Videoart Festival Award and as many honorable mentions as considered. 2. Different national and international institutions will also award and acknowledge by giving promotion, financial and technological support. Artists will be awarded taking into account the sponsors criteria. GENERAL INFORMATION: 1. The Festivals Organizing Committee reserves the right to invite national and international artists, curators, critics and experts that are considered of a special interest for the Festival. 2. Videoarts in a digital format will become part of the Festivals Record and the Festivals Archives to be later used in non-profit cultural presentations, and also as part of the itinerant version of the current event. Notice: Any misstatement or omission in the entry forms will result in the subsequent exclusion from the competition. Forms that are incomplete or do not fulfill the requirements will not be eligible for the Festival.
