Dear Class 6 of Jernimo Blancas, Thank you very much for your letter.

We are extremely excited to be writing to you. We are the Level III (seventh grade) Spanish class at the North Country School. We live in Lake Placid, NY where the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics were held. During the 1980 Olympics, a very special miracle occurred.

Querida Clase de 6 del CEIP Jernimo Blancas, Muchas gracias por vuestra carta. Estamos muy contentos de escribiros avosotros. Nosotros somos el nivel III (sptimo grado) de la clase de espaol en la Escuela North Country. Vivimos en Lake Placid, Nueva York, donde se celebraron en 1932 y 1980 los Juegos Olmpicos de Invierno. Durante los Juegos Olmpicos de 1980, ocurri un milagro muy especial. The North Country School is a boarding school. Some of us live at the school and some of us attend only during the day. Our school is located in the Adirondack Park in New York State. Next to the school is Round Lake and we have a working farm. On the farm we have horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys, a llama and a barn cat named Domino. La Escuela North Country es un internado. Algunos de nosotros vivimos en la escuela y otos slo asistimos a la escuela durante el da. Nuestra escuela est situada en el Parque Adirondack en el Estado de Nueva York. Junto a la escuela et el Round Lake, y tenemos una granja. En la finca tenemos caballos, ovejas, cerdos, pollos, pavos, una llama y un gato llamado Domino.

In the United States some of the holidays we celebrate are: Independence Day, Columbus Day, St. Patricks Day, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. En Estados Unidos algunas de las fiestas que celebramos son las siguientes: el da de la Independencia, el da de la Raza, el da de San Patricio, y el da del Dr. Martin Luther King The United States is a very large country. We have multiple time zones and 50 states. We are the third largest country in the world. In the United States some of our national monuments are: The Washington Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, The Statue of Liberty (which was presented to us by France), The Liberty Bell, The Four Corners and the Dr. Martin Luther King Monument. Los Estados Unidos es un pas muy grande. Tenemos varias zonas horarias y 50 estados. Somos el tercer pas ms extenso del mundo. Algunos de nuestros monumentos nacionales son: El Monumento a Washington, el Lincoln Memorial, La Estatua de la Libertad (que nos fue regalada por Francia), La Campana de la Libertad, Las Cuatro Esquinas y el Monumento al Dr. Martin Luther King.
