SLT Exercise
A upcoming Quality Management Institute is aiming to become one of the best institute in the world in providing QM training and implementation support. The institute conducts various training programs. PGDQM is the flagship program of the institute which runs for 8 weeks. Company is interested in some of the parameters to check the effectiveness of the program. They are savings from participants projects, project success rate, feedback %, examination score. Different teams are working on improving each parameters. One of the parameters taken by ABC group is to improve examination score. Some of the ways to improve the same can be giving easy questions, emphasis on points that are going to come in exam during training or recap, provide sample questions and give most of the questions from the same etc. But company is not interested in just increasing the exam score, actual interest is to improve the understanding level of the participants, examination is just a measure of the same. Training is given to everybody is same. But team is interested to know why there is variation in exam result?

Operational definition for each parameter is identified and data is collected as per operational definition Data collected is shown in next slide Data like department, years of experience, department collected from participant profile form Pretest data is collected from past data Attentiveness is measured by faculty based on number of questions & quality of questions asked by participant, quality of key learning shared, participation in exercise, answers given during quiz, completion of home work and also through keen observation of participants expressions during class
