LIBRO SYSTEM 2007

An alternative library information system, Libro System was developed by Filipino librarian. The library software is competitive with foreign information systems both in performance and costs. It is one of the most dynamic, comprehensive, and easy to use library information systems ever built to computerize and manage information centers, libraries, and data banks. It offers the most extensive set of modules, features and routines to automate library functions. Primarily designed for use by librarians, information specialists and record managers. Microsoft Access 97 is the database backend.

Libro System has eight pre-defined databases:


Books or Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)

It offers adaptable online searching capabilities to help the clientele easily locate materials they need. Library processes are simplified to facilitate efficient and effective library management to the extent most beneficial even to a one-man librarian. The system can run in either standalone or network, and likewise, barcode-ready. It even generates several library reports like collection development analysis, loan statistics, loan history, book list per discipline, accession list, inventory, authority list, periodical title list, users statistics, etc.

Marc Utilites
You can import Marc records from different library system or Web Opac (Library of Congress, Ohiolink, WorldCat, Australian National Library, British National Library, Boston Public Library, La Salle Taft, UST, National Library of the Philippines, IRRI) capable to save Marc record and load to Iconium and automatically fill the data entry worksheet of books or special materials for you to edit and put the local information. These utilities will help you facilitate cataloguing

Digital library
You can use the system to build your digital resources or use it as storage and retrieval of saved electronic data to your computer.

Data Entry Module
