 COMENTARIO PROFESIONAL
▪ En la ciudad de Arequipa, las edificaciones, especialmente las destinadas a la vivienda como edificios multifamiliares, en su mayoría
están construidas en lotes de geometría rectangular, un lado mayor a 2 o tres veces lo cual hace que el diseño arquitectónico considere
muros de corte con un solo sentido, descuidando el sentido perpendicular.
▪ Dada la mayor densidad de muros planteados en los diseños arquitectónicos en una sola dirección hacen que los proyectos estructurales
consideren placas de concreto armado en la otra dirección a fin de absolver la fuerza lateral sísmica especialmente.
▪ Sin embargo, en muchas edificaciones no se consideran estas placas, ni tampoco muros de albañilería, lo que ocasiona que durante un
sismo se presentas fallas estructurales, que requieran de Reforzamiento estructurales posterior, tal como ha sucedido en el ultimo sismo
de año 2001.
▪ En consecuencia las Placas son elementos estructurales planos especialmente de concreto armado, que ofrecen gran resistencia a las
fuerzas laterales provenientes de sismos principalmente, por lo que independientemente de los métodos de calculo se deben considerar
en los diseños estructurales en ambos sentidos, lo que debe de ser previamente coordinado y compatibilizado con los profesionales
encargados del diseño arquitectónico

El reforzamiento a estructura esta dirigido a incrementar la capacidad de
carga y serviciabilidad de una estructura

¿Por qué reforzar?

 Actualización de nuevos reglamentos

 Cambio de uso resultante en incremento de cargas
 Diseño inadecuado
 Errores y defectos en la construcción
 Daños estructurales por eventos accidentales (sismos)
 Corrosión en el acero de refuerzo
 Eliminación total o parcial de elementos estructurales existentes.

▪ Losa
Son elementos estructurales de concreto armado o de materiales prefabricados, de sección
transversal rectangular llena, o con huecos, de poco espesor y abarcan una superficie considerable
del piso. Sirven para conformar pisos y techos en un edificio y se apoyan en las vigas o muros.
Pueden tener uno o varios tramos continuos.

▪ Placas
Son las paredes las que están hechas de concreto, una mezcla a base de
cemento pero mucho más resistente, y las que se encargan de soportar la
tremenda carga. En la construcción tradicional son las columnas y vigas las
que están hechas de concreto.

REFORZAMIENTO DE LOSAS CON
FIBRA DE CARBONO

1. Limpiamos con disolventes las piezas de fibra de

carbono
2. Se rellena la lamina de fibra de carbono , con resina
epoxi
3. Se instala la fibra de carbono a compresión
4. Luego se aplica una ultima capa de resina epoxi y se
espolvorea arena para la adherencia de los morteros

PROCESO DE REPARACIÓN Y REFORZAMIENTO
DE UNA PLACA DE CONCRETO
▪ Apuntalar firmemente el techo con vigas y pies derechos.
▪ Demoler los muros agrietados y desplazados.
▪ Colocar armadura de columna de refuerzo, picando y colocando
varillas de acero de acuerdo con los detalles dados
▪ Conectar firmemente las varillas de las columnas con vigas de amarre
del techo. Si no existieran, colocar vigas invertidas en el techo.
▪ Reconstruir los muros demolidos.
▪ Llenar con concreto las columnas, placas y vigas.
