¿QUE SON INECUACIONES?
INECUACIONES
Es la desigualdad existente entre dos expresiones algebraicas, conectadas a través de los signos:
mayor que >, menor que <, menor o igual que ≤, así como mayor o igual que ≥, en la que figuran uno o
varios valores desconocidos llamadas incógnitas, además de ciertos datos conocidos.
Si formulamos la inecuación algebraica siguiente, podremos notar en ella los elementos señalados
anteriormente. Veamos:
9x − 12 < 24
Como se puede visualizar en el ejemplo, en la inecuación existen dos miembros. Está presente el
miembro de la izquierda y el miembro de la derecha.
¿PARA QUE ME SIRVIRIA LAS
INECUACIONES EN MI VIDA COTIDIANA?
Por ejemplo: un ingeniero industrial que elabora un producto no puede producir más
allá de cierto límite
por varias razones: la maquinaria no está diseñada para pasar cierto umbral
de producción, la empresa no tiene el capital de trabajo suficiente para
invertir, no hay en la empresa el personal suficiente para hacerlo, entre otros.
De igual forma, si se examinan muchos hechos de la vida diaria se
concluirá que para todo hay límites: en la temperatura ambiente, en el
crecimiento poblacional, en los ingresos al hogar, en el gasto en energía
eléctrica; y en todos los casos, se puede plantear una desigualdad que
resuma de manera particular su comportamiento.
