Agri-Pinoy
Is broad-based
Why? ihe increasing demand from an increasing
population means that we need to increase the
productivity of the broadest number of producers
and improve their profitability.

We need a broader and more varied base to

insure sustainability and resilience in the face of
climate change and changes in the global market
Agri-Pinoy
Is broad-based

Implications: ihe DA¶s services and resources

must be equitably and proportionately allocated
to small, medium, and large players

ihe allocation of the DA¶s services and resources

must appreciate the role of the various
stakeholders and address their specific needs.
Agri-Pinoy
Addresses the whole system
From Farm to iable
ihe ³Farm´ represents interventions in
production, from soil and water management,
extension, seeds and fertilizers, post-harvest
processing, credit and marketing etc.
ihe ³iable´ represents interventions to insure food
security, safety, and quality for the consumers
Agri-Pinoy
is based on
sustainable farming systems
Promote and develop technological interventions that
increase productivity while insuring sustainability
Recognize the limits of the carrying capacity of our
natural resources, while increasing the capability of
our human resources
Minimize dependence on imports to meet
national food requirements
