Introduction to SDGs
• A set of 17 goals for world’s future for 2030
• It has 169 inter-related targets
• Ideated at the Conference on sustainable development in Brazil in
2012 passed under UNDP
• They are made to replace the millennial development goals(MDGs)
• Focused at combating poverty, climate change and inequality
Goal 1: End poverty in all its forms
everywhere
• BY 2030:
• Access of resources to the poor
• Accesss to basic services, land property, appropriate new technology, natural
resources for everyone
• Availabilty of micro-finance for the poor
• Income above $1.25 per person, for all men and women

Goal 2: End hunger, achieve food security abd
