WHAT IS KNOWLEDGE BASED
SYSTEM?
• A knowledge based system (KBS) is a computer
system which generates and utilizes knowledge
from different sources, data and information.
• These systems are mainly used for solving
complex problems by using the concept of AI.
• Knowledge based systems are considered to be a
major branch of AI.
WHAT IS AI ?

• The term AI stands for (Artificial Intelligence).

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer
program or a machine to think and learn.
• The modern Definition of AI is “The study and
Design of intelligent agents”. Where the intelligent
agent is a system that learn its environment and takes
action according to the situation.
WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF AI ?

• To create Expert Systems- The systems which

exhibit intelligent behaviour, learn, explain and
Advice.

• To implement human intelligence in machines-

Creating systems that understand, think and
behave like humans.
HOW AI WORKS ?

• AI analyze the given input with the help of neural

network.
• What is Neural Network- A (NN) is a series of algorithms
that try to achieve the underlying relationships in a set of
data through a process that behave in the way the
human brain operates.
• How Neural Network works- The (NN) works like human
brain where this network consist of bunch of nodes
where each node is connected to other processing nodes
which are developed by humans or by AI itself.
HOW AI WORKS ?

• (NN) is initially trained or fed large amounts of

data which further tells the AI what the Output
should be.
• That’s how AI will learn new things by its own by
identifying its mistakes.
APPLICATIONS OF AI

• Military zone - Smart bombs, Smart Missiles,

Decoding of enemy secret codes.
• Science – Development of new drugs, Remote
controlled surgical procedures, Advance weather
modeling.
• Industry – Advance assembly lines in find
defects, manufacturing of cars (Robotic System).
DETERMINATION OF THREATS
IN SOCIAL MEDIA BY USING AI
• In this modern era threats are the most annoying
thing in the technological world.
• Algorithms such as Pattern matching, are used to
detect threats on social platform.
• Machine Learning, Data mining are also used
along with AI to detects various types of threats.
HOW DATA MINING WORKS
WITH AI ?

• What is Data Mining - It is defined as the

process of mining knowledge from data.
• Data Mining uses AI techniques such as Neural
network (NN), where the network learn to
classify your data.
• It is supervised because you train the network
teaching it to classify your data.
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

• Advantages-
1) Medical diagnosis, stock trading, law, scientific discovery.
2) Reduced frauds.
3)Error Reduction. 4)No Breaks.

• Disadvantages-
1) High cost .
2)Unemployment.
3)Too much dependency resulting in lose of mental
capacities.
CONCLUSION

• Two important functions in AI programs -what

can be done to solve a problem and Solving a
problem efficiently.
• We have a choice to go tomorrow or day after
tomorrow.
• AI in collaboration with different branches will
create a complex improved revolution in the
world very soon
