Learn or Study ?
Learn
• To gain knowledge or skill by studying (formal education /
schooling), practicing, being taught, observing or experiencing
something.
• The process of developing new memories, concepts, or skills.
• You can learn certain skills just by watching; certain others by
experiencing; and certain others by being taught or guided.
• Learning refers to gaining of knowledge of any subject. It
could be through studies, by experience or by being taught or
even by observation!
• “learning” is for life, as it is continual and never ending!
• Lifetime and Advantages
Study
• to read, memorize facts, attend school, class, etc., in order to learn
about a subject.
• To observe, analyze, memorize facts, and understand, in order to
try and master the subject that you have gained knowledge in.
• You need to study certain subjects to be able to use the knowledge
favorably any time it is needed in future; to be an expert in the
field.
• “studying” is generally for a subject or a set of subjects, to suit a
particular purpose;
• Studying means the sparing of time and attention to gain
knowledge in any subject especially through books.
Learn or Study
• Learning is the process of developing new
memories, concepts, or skills. Studying is one
way some people try to achieve that.
• Studying is temporary.
Learning lasts a lifetime.
• Studying is one way to learn.
• Studying makes you book smart, learning
makes you smart.

Meaning and Definition
Noun = Kata benda
a word used to identify any of a class of
people, places, or things of common noun, or
to name a particular one of these proper
noun (a name used for an individual person,
place, or organization, spelled with initial
capital letters, e.g., Wawan, Jakarta, FPK..).
Pronoun
• Kata Ganti:
a word used to replace a noun or person. The
purpose of using this pronoun is to refine the
language we use, and make the sentence
more effective and not repetitive so that the
sentences used are not impressed long-
winded.
(He, She, It, You, We, They, I)
Adjective
• Kata Sifat
words that explain, alter or add meaning to a
noun to be more specific. It describes a
situation ... The description described by an
adjective may be the quality, quantity,
sequence or emphasis of a word.
E.g., : beautiful girl, handsome man, large
classroom
Verb
• Kata Kerja
a word used to describe an action, or
occurrence, and forming the main part of the
predicate of a sentence,
E.g., Red, write, speak, attempt, explain, give,
etc.
Adverb
• An adverb or an adverb (Latin: ad, "for" and
verbum, "word") is a word class that provides
information to other words (verbs or
adjectives)
• E.g., : very hot, At campus, often sleepy, do
corectly
Prepotition
• Kata depan
• The words used in front of the noun to
sequence the noun with the rest of the
sentence
At, in, on, by, for, from, to, … etc.
Conjunction
• Kata Sambung / Kata penghubung
a word used to connect clauses or sentences
or to coordinate words in the same clause
(e.g., and, but, if, so, because, … ).
Auxilliary
• Kata bantu
An auxiliary verb (abbreviated aux) is a verb that
adds functional or grammatical meaning to the
clause in which it appears, such as to express
tense, aspect, modality, voice, emphasis,
etc. Auxiliary verbs usually accompany a
main verb
e.g., am, is, are, was, were, be, been (Be), do, does,
did, have, has, modals (can, will, should, may,
must, have to)
Noun
(kata benda / nomina)
Function:
• Mentioning object’s name
(movement, nation, Indonesia, woman)
• As a subject or an object of
sentence
(civil servants registries their identities through website)
