Norwegians are reserved, sincere and humble as general
characteristics, without establishing great social differences.

Norwegians do not tend to socialize with strangers and prefer

to spend their free time with family or alone.
z Norway: Food, meals, alcohol, Manners and Dress codes

The bunad is a traditional Norwegian costume worn by men

and women. It can come from established rural traditions or
have a more modern design inspired by historical patterns
and cuts.

The greeting and the sign of appreciation of the Norwegians

are with a firm handshake, and the kiss or the hug are
reserved for the closest friends.

Norwegian dishes are not entirely foreign, with main

ingredients such as fish, potatoes, eggs, vegetables and rice.
Lunch is consumed around noon. Dinner, between 5 and 6 in
the afternoon.

Norway is a country of only 4.5 million inhabitants but it has

an interesting history of artists like the painter Munch, writers
like Ibsen and musicians like Grieg, who have achieved
international recognition.
